Hi, I'm Danielle!
I have been passionate about international affairs for many years now. In 2018 I graduated cum laude with degrees in both International Studies and Economics. I started this blog to share my experiences working in refugee camps in Lesvos, Greece in February of 2019.
As I continue working and traveling I hope to add many more countries to this space!
My passion for foreign affairs knows no bounds and I could speak for hours about Ukraine, Russia, Yemen, Syria, and a dozen other countries and cultures.
In 2015 a medical mistake left me with an incurable, searing chronic pain condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome.
After so many years with this disease I have found that not even travel has made me as modest as having to come to terms with the reality of my body and life. This space is one where I want to collect my research and experiences because it is a complicated disease to have. My constant thirst for knowledge and a cure has put me into partial remission and now one of my favorite hobbies is educating others on what this disease is and what can be done about it.
In addition to my international work and time in college, I have been a licensed pharmacy technician for seven years. This has given me a unique insight to the way medications are thrown at this disease, and a more complete understanding of the complicated American healthcare system.
I'm also simply a human being. I love nature, spending time with my family and friends, watching Netflix, and living every moment to the fullest.
I hope at least one thing I have to share here can resonate with you in some way!
